UTC Conference Room

Because technology has become more and more of a necessity in the office place, many companies are choosing Gotuwired to design their conference rooms with the necessary A/V solutions  to do business.  For a biotech company in UTC, we mounted a 60″ LCD on the wall and displayed a projector on the oppsosite wall with a motorized projection screen.  This allows the client to use the 60″ LCD for videoconferencing when they need to have calls with other offices across the country.  Separately, when they are having an internal meeting and need to give a powerpoint presentation that the entire room can see, they use the projector with 92″ projection screen.  Lastly, we ran cabling underneath the floor and cut in a grommet into the table that has data connections for all media devices.

The World Famous San Diego Zoo

For the world famous San Diego Zoo, we retrofitted almost the entire facility with all new speakers and audio throughout the complex.  The zoo wanted to give its visitors a more theme park experience by adding music to its entryway and all its shops.  When you transition  through different parts of the zoo, a themed music selection plays in each area.  To accomplish this, we chose Crown amplifiers, independent ipods for each area and speakers by Klipsch.  We used on-wall speakers and  “rock” speakers by Klipsch Audio to to give the best reproduction possible.

Digital Signage for Your Business

Many businesses are using digital signage to help boost sales, improve exposure and showcase key products.  Gotuwired is fully adept at creating the perfect solution to fit your digital signage needs.  In Encinitas we setup an LCD vertically for a media company.  The display rotates through print websites such as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.   For one of La Jolla’s premier real estate agencies we setup 6 smaller LCD displays to showcase the firm’s latest listings.  Rather than having static listings on paper, they are able to digitally manage and display their properties.

Outdoor Audio & Video

With the weather in Southern California being so amazing, audio/video can go beyond the inside of your home.  For a client in Oceanside, we worked with their landscaper and pool designer to incorporate two outdoor weather resistant TV’s and six outdoor speakers to give the most amazing outdoor experience possible.  We located a 26″ Sunbrite HD television near their BBQ with a pair of Klipsch speakers.  By the pool we setup a 32″ Sunbrite television and two more Klipsch speakers on either side of the pool.  Lastly we setup outdoor wall pads to so that they can control their ipod, CD changer, AM/FM & Sirius tuner. All of which are located back inside their home.

Pala Casino

When Pala Casino called us, they were looking to completely retrofit their bar area. Like many businesses today they wanted to modernize their venue with new flat panel televisions. Because the bar is an intricate part of their casino floor, completing the job as promptly as possible was of the utmost importance. Within less than one day we were able to prep the area, reframe the walls, mount all 5 TV’s and connect each with its own satellite box.

Creating a Theater Environment Inside Your Living Room

Many people ask us about using a projector as their primary Television, but many quickly realize that a projector is only good with proper light control.  So in San Marcos, we installed a complete 2 piece theater system inside a clients living room.  During the day they have a 50″ plasma to watch on, and at night they hit a button on their universal remote to bring down a projection screen from the ceiling.  We recessed the screen into the ceiling so you never see it and mounted a projector discreetly in the back of the room.  In addition, we installed a complete 6.1 in-ceiling speaker system with all the hardware( A/V receiver, HD cable box, Xbox 360 & BluRay player) inside a closet.

Custom Work Inside San Diego’s Premier Downtown Condos

Last spring a tenant at downtown’s Electra building asked us to set them up with a reference quality home theater system.  In addition they wanted something that was going to impress their friends anytime they came over.  For their entry way bathroom we created a custom cutout in the side wall and slid in a 15″ LCD so that the back of the TV and all cables were concealed behind the wall.  An ultra clean look for an upscale condo.

Stone Fireplace Installation

Fireplace Installation

Doing flatpanel installations over a fireplace is nothing new.  In San Diego, easily half of the flat panel TV’s we install are over a fireplace.  However, most of those homes are sheetrocked above the fireplace.  Last Summer a client came to us and wanted their TV hung, but over a traditional fireplace with brick/stone going all the way up.  We were the fourth installation company the client had talked to because the other three couldn’t mount it or run the cabling through the stone.  While it took us longer than a standard flat panel installation, doing custom work is nothing new for GotUWired.  We were able to mount the clients TV, run cabling through the stone and locate all the client’s equipment in a closet located 40 feet away from the fireplace.

Orange County Conference Room: From Warehouse to Office Space

OC Screen 2

OC projector (side)

Last year a company in Orange County contacted us because they were relocating offices within the county.  They were taking over a commercial warehouse and converting it into office space.  While ceiling tile was installed,  the ceiling of the building was another 70 feet above the tile.  The company’s IT director asked us to setup up their conference room with a projector, in-ceiling speakers and a projection screen (flushed in the ceiling).  The problem was, they didn’t know how to do it because of the high ceilings.  We came in and within two days were able to mount the projector by building metal rails off the side walls to support the projector and the screen.  No matter what the scenario our highly trained staff always have a solution.

In San Elijo Hills we had a client who wanted a TV between their bathroom and closet, but they didn’t want to see it.  We created a custom cutout in the wall and ran a cable feed over to the cutout.  Next we mounted the TV in the cutout and framed in the TV.  Lastly, we got a two way mirror and had it framed to go over the TV.  When the TV is off, all you see is the reflective mirror.  When the TV comes on, the image shines through the mirror.
